Superior Sigil of Air have static DPS numbers regardless of your usual DPS as long as you proc it off cooldown. Meaning that power classes that have lower DPS, but provide boons or buffs (theorized power Renegade support using upcoming Diviner rune set for example) can use Sigil of Air over Slaying Sigil for effective higher damage amplification. From Guild Wars 2 Wiki Damage. Superior Sigil of Air (Learned from: Recipe: Sigil of Air) Exotic: 400 15 Pile of Lucent Crystal 5 Beryl Orb 1 Symbol of Pain 10. Does this affect condition damage? --209.6.91.193 21:42, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

That is a great question and I wish I knew the answer. I bought and equipped a minor sigil of force but it doesn't reflect the damage increase in your stats so I couldn't see it. Valorien 21:41, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

I just did some very basic tests vs risen, trying to not gain stacks of might or
cause vulerability. got 90 damage ticks from bleeding that didnt change with the
sigil being added. Seems to justify the price tag, I guess you get a lower boost
compared to superior bloodlust, without the drawbacks. --Shrike Valeo 19:00, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Yes. If the damage formula is correct, damage is directly proportional to Power. Adding 5% damage with this sigil (untested) is therefore equivalent to adding 5% Power. Assuming an average modest Power of 1500 at level 80, 5% represents 75 Power. The Sigil of Bloodlust can add 25x10=250 Power, which in this case would increase damage by 250/1500=16.7% (the Major version would increase damage by 175/1500=11.7%). Two Superior Sigils of Force would increase damage by +10%. The higher your Power, the smaller the difference between the 2 sigils becomes (at 2000 Power +250 represents 12.5%, and 175 is 8.8%). The Sigil of Bloodlust provides more damage, but you lose it all if you're downed. I believe that neither sigil affects condition damage. Might can increase damage the most (including Condition damage), but it is very volatile.
Thanks for this breakdown.
No need to compare Bloodlust Sigils to Force Sigils, you can stack Bloodlust and just switch to Force weapons, if anything.

It does stack[edit]

I've made a test in the mists with the light target golem:
Testcase 1:
1x PvP Dagger with Sigil of Force + 1x PvP Dagger (no upgrade)
Testcase 2:
2x PvP Dagger with Sigil of Force
I've done 15 tests each - Cloak and Dagger + Backstab and wrote down the backstab damage (always with a new golem, full initative and so on, same preconditions):
1 Sigil| 2 Sigil
6014| 6079
5820| 6315
6101| 6400
6008| 6413
5983| 6374
5970| 6433
5783| 6229
5820| 6407
6004| 6337
6083| 6321
6114| 6118
5920| 6177
6126| 6321
6026| 6098
5983| 6131

Average Damage 5983,66| 6276,86
100% of 105%| 100% of 110%
5698,73| 5706,24
If I assume one sigil ist 105% damage and two sigils are 110% damage and scale it down to 100% I get 5698,73 and 5706,24 - nearly the same.

Based on your data I'd be inclined to agree; while it's not a very large sample, the numbers do match up almost perfectly. Additional testing would be great though. 20:39, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
I just tested on a target dummy in Lion's Arch, using Orb of Wrath fired from a Cleric's Pearl Scepter of Force, once with an off-hand torch that also had a superior sigil of force and once with an off-hand shield that had a major sigil of air. I didn't write down all the numbers, but I did several dozen attacks with each set, and most of the attack with the second sigil hit for more than the highest hit I got without the sigil, and the difference in median damage looked like around 5% to me. So I agree: two sigils of force deal more damage than one. --Felbryn (talk) 01:44, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
I can corroborate this with exact numbers. I used:Gw2 superior sigil
  • Main hand: PvP Steady Axe with Superior Sigil of Force
  • Off hand 1: PvP Shield with no sigil
  • Off hand 2: PvP Horn with Superior Sigil of Force
Chop, Double Chop, and Triple Chop do the exact same damage on every hit, except for the very last one. With the shield (no sigil) offhand, I dealt 63 damage on every hit. With the warhorn (force), I dealt 66 on every hit. 63 * 1.05 = 66.15.
Conclusion: Sigils of Force do stack. —Dr Ishmael 04:49, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

While the numbers above are correct, there appears to be a bug in equpping/unequipping two weapons with sigil of force that may be leading to a false conclusion. I observed an approximate 5% damage increase from 1 dagger with sigil of force to two daggers with sigil of force, and lost 5% damage from going back down to 1 dagger, in agreement with the tests above. However, I lost zero damage when I removed the remaining single dagger with sigil of force. Likewise, starting from 2 daggers with no sigils, I saw an increase of 5% by adding a single sigil of force, but not another 5% after adding the second.

Gw2 Superior Sigil Of Air

Does sigil of force work while other sigil is on cool down?[edit]

Gw2 superior sigil of strength

Gw2 Superior Sigil Of Air Damage

Question on using an on crit sigil on the main hand with a sigil of force with the offhand:

Superior Sigil Of Cleansing Gw2

If I was using a sigil of battle on the main hand and it procs and the 9 sec cool down starts, during this 9 sec window will I still get the benefit of the sigil of force damage bonus when I attack within the window? (Meaning for sigils that have static bonuses, are they unaffected by the shared cool down?).... Or will the bonus damage kick in when the cool down of the other sigil ends?

Of course it still works, this is sigil has no trigger and no cooldown. Puk (talk) 11:27, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
